About Hillcrest Cluster

Hillcrest Cluster is a community of townhomes located in Reston, Virginia. Our neighborhood or cluster (as they are referred to in Reston) is one of the oldest and largest in Reston, with 173 homes on 28 acres. Our community is unique for its 11 acres of landscaped and wooded common area, which offers many amenities such as a playground, a basketball court and over 25,000 square feet of sidewalks and walkways. Additional amenities are available within a five-minute walk including tennis courts, baseball field, and community swimming pool, all provided by Reston Association.

While Hillcrest Cluster is one community, all with the same street name, it is divided into four sections across almost 5,000 square yards of roadways and parking areas. Each of these sections has its own unique architectural style and fit seamlessly with the natural landscapes of the community.

The Cluster is roughly 1 mile from Reston’s historic Washington Plaza at Lake Anne, which is a centerpiece of local businesses, restaurants, bars, houses of worship, community services, and hosts the Reston farmer’s market through the summer and fall seasons. Our community is served by Forest Edge Elementary School less than a mile away, Hughes Middles School, and South Lakes High School, both within a 3-mile radius.

  2. Take VA-267 to the Reston Parkway (VA-602) Exit
  3. Turn Right onto Reston Parkway (VA-602)
  4. Turn Right onto Baron Cameron Avenue (VA-606)
  5. Turn Right onto Wiehle Avenue (VA-828)
  6. Turn Left onto North Shore Drive
  7. Turn Left onto Ring Road
  8. Turn Left onto Saffold Way

From Washington, DC (without tolls):

  1. Take I-495 to Leesburg Pike (US Rt-7)
  2. Take Leesburg Pike (US Rt-7) towards Reston, VA
  3. Turn Left onto Baron Cameron Avenue (VA-606)
  4. Turn Right onto Wiehle Avenue (VA-828)
  5. Turn Left onto North Shore Drive
  6. Turn Left onto Ring Road
  7. Turn Left onto Saffold Way

From Washington Dulles International Airport:

  1. Take the Dulles Access Road (VA-267E) (no toll will be charged via the NO TOLL lanes on the left)
  2. Take exit 13 from VA-267E
  3. Turn Right onto Wiehle Avenue (VA-828)
  4. Turn Left onto North Shore Drive
  5. Turn Left onto Ring Road
  6. Turn Left onto Saffold Way

The Hillcrest Cluster Association is one of the largest and oldest homeowners associations (HOA) in Reston,Virginia. Chartered in 1969 under Virginia law.
